Summer Fun

I finished Sisterchicks do the Hula last week so I decided this would be great to pass along. Out of the two I have read - this has been my favorite so far (06/25- started book 4 today as the library was out of book 3). Sisterchicks on the Loose

I finished the book this morning! Since having my third child, I really have not picked up a book unless it had to do with parenting or was a Bible study - I just did not think I had time for fiction. I decided that this summer, I was going to start making some time to read for fun and after hearing about this series I knew this is the one I was going to pick up first.

After reading the first chapter I knew I was going to like this book - it talked about travel - one of my favorite things to do. I noticed after the first day that I could not put the book down because I was enjoying reading about Sharon's and Penny's adventure. I think it is because I have always dreamed of taking yearly trips with friends. Maybe someday I too will be having travel adventures with a friend (or friends).

I enjoyed seeing how God used this trip to change things in each of their lives. I giggled and even felt sad for the characters at times. These women are older than me - so I was not sure at first if I would relate to their lives. I caught myself learning from their mistakes and victories as mothers and wives. While reading I would take mental notes - "I want to do that better" or "Remember this because it will be you in a couple of years". I think this is a wonderful book and recommend it! Thanks Amber for your recommendation.

While reading Chapter 5 I had an idea - when I finish this why don't I give my copy away? So that is just what I am doing! Book Clutter and a Giveaway!

Shannon has made today's Works-For-Me Wednesday: The Backwards Edition. This means that instead of me offering a tip, I am posting a question that has stumped me, so I am asking for your advice.

After seeing the pictures you must realize my problem. How do we keep the books organized in the kid's rooms? I try to stand them up neatly, but it only looks nice for a couple of days and I do not have the energy to fix them everyday! Please offer me any ideas that you have to keep the books tidy around here. I am willing to purchase whatever I need to get their books under control!!! As you can tell this situation drives me C-R-A-Z-Y, so I am doing a giveaway as an incentive to get lots of suggestions! :o)
