On the way to his first swimming lesson (first of this summer - he has tried lessons 3 previous times) on Monday I told him that many people were praying for him. He had a hard time grasping why people outside of his family would pray for him. After his first lesson where he made amazing progress I asked what changed inside him. He is such a wise soul at this young age - he said "I decided if I did not make a change now I would be afraid for the rest of my life"then he said "Plus all those people took the time to pray for me."
After only 5 lessons here is the answer to all the prayers that were lifted up on his behalf. Thank you Lord for helping him conquer his fear!
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for him. Great job. Why are we surprized when God answers our prayers. Give him a big hug and kiss for me.

How exciting!! I completely understand the joy from watching your child overcome the fear of water! Addyson was the exact same way and this year she conquered her fear. Tell your little man that there is alot of people really proud of him!

Mimi and Papa are SOOOOOOOO proud of you! We were praying for you last Monday that God would take the fear of water out of you. Not only did he answer that prayer, but you're swimming now! We love you so much and know you are proud of yourself too!

Wow! How wonderful and exciting!!! Thanks so much for sharing that wonderful video. He sounded wise beyond his years. That is great for us all to see the power and prayers. Love ya, Amy
THis is so awesome!!!! What a lucky boy to have a mom who teaches him the power of prayer and of God's power through him. I'm even more touched because I read Joshua for the first time lately, and I totally recognized that verse. :) This God stuff really does apply. It does. :)
