Yeah - He's Home!

Jeremy left Saturday the 6th for a business trip to India. Our oldest thought we should have a surprise fiesta to welcome him home (because Jeremy's favorite food is Mexican). The boys and I decorated last night so that when he came home this morning they could jump out from their hiding place and yell "welcome home" (with Tejano Music playing in the background). For lunch we went for Tex-Mex and came home for homemade chocolate cake. We are so happy to have him home!

I will share pictures from his trip next week, but I wanted to show you the little gifts he brought home.
I have said before that when we take trips we always bring back a Christmas ornament as a souvenir. I was thrilled that he remembered and brought these home so we can remember his trip each Christmas.

This box was hand crafted the same way as the marble facade of the Taj Mahal.
We are so happy that he is home!

Love the fiesta for daddy idea. Doug is leaving for China--where he regularly goes--on Monday, and even though these trips are often and a pain in the rear, he's providing so well for us, and is getting to see an amazingly different place, full of culture.

I love getting Christmas ornaments, too! It's like you're me. :)
