The Big Imagination

I have talked before about our three year old's love for all things Buzz Lightyear. Thankfully his need for the sock gloves has been forgotten and has been replaced with the imaginary "Buzz Backpack". Yesterday as we were going into the church for my Bible study I asked him to give me his "Buzz Backpack". He slowly took it off, handed it to me very gently and then asked me to put it in my bag. Once it was put away, he wanted to look in my bag to make sure it was safe. :o) After Bible study when we got to the car the first thing he said was "Can I have my backpack now please?".

Curious about the Buzz backpack; he and I sat down and had a little Q&A.
What color is it?
Gold

What is in the backpack?
His words:
My Tools (as he IS Buzz)
Flying stuff
Fighting stuff (to fight the fighting guys)
Buzz fan (in case he gets hot)

Must be a very big backpack!

This morning he graced us with his presence dressed just like this:
Notice that he is wearing two different boots? What a fashion statement! I asked him who he was and he said "Buzz Batman". Just in case you are wondering Buzz Batman does not need the gold backpack because all his power is in the Batman part of his costume. Good to know.
He insisted that I take a picture of him with his new friend "Little Buzz". As I am typing he is singing "Zacchaeus was a wee little man..." to Little Buzz and I am smiling.

He is by far our most imaginative - can't wait to see what he comes up with next!

Adorable. I'm cracking up at the black and brown boots. I love children's imaginations!

I have only one son, but when he was small we lived with "butt lightyear," tigger, and my personal favorite, charlie brown.

Charlie came to live with us for about two months immediately following seeing the live stage version of 'you're a good man charlie brown'. Charlie did not answer to spencer. In fact, when he would leave from preschool for the day, the entire class would say, " 'bye charlie brown!'

ah! good times.

Boys are such fun! Our son keeps us grinning all the time. Even when he's into mischief, we grin behind our hands. I have several pics and stories about recent activities that I've been thinking about posting. I may have to follow your lead and post it soon. We'll make it a boy themed week!

That is a great costume. That looks like one of my son's ideas.
