Random Tired Thoughts...

This week Jeremy has been in NYC (Can I say I am jealous?) and I am just plain tired. The boys and I are looking forward to his return home tomorrow afternoon. I have not been inspired to blog, but I have enjoyed reading all of my favorite blogs this week.

This post is really about nothing - just some random things that I have wanted to share. So here ya go...

I have shared before that I am not a scrapbooker. I have always felt a little guilty about it, but I think I have found the answer! Through a friend of a friend I read about how you can turn your blog into a book. What a fabulous idea - you can get the details here.

I have wanted to share a few blogs that God uses to speak to me, ones I learn through or ones that just make me hungry!

Through the bloggy giveaway, I found Rene Swope's blog (she works with Proverbs 31 ministries) called The Journey of my Heart. Today's post was perfect for what God is teaching me right now.

The next is Jeremy's parent's pastor, Jeff Warren (LiveForgiven). He writes one post a month and it always makes my heart think.

If you do not have Blogging Basics 101 bookmarked or in your Bloglines you should think about adding it, especially if you are new to blogging. I have gained so much information through this site!

The blog Money Saving Mom subtitle is "Helping you become a better home economist." At this blog you will find everything you need to know about saving money while shopping (coupons, free items and where the deals are that week). She gives budget advice and other great information.

These blogs make me so hungry - I get excited when they show up as new. The first one is Just Recipes, she is getting ready for a romantic Valentine's dinner with her husband. These savory thumbprints make me salivate and I can not wait until I have an occasion to make them.

The next is Tartlette, this is a dessert blog and her pictures are amazing! I have wanted to try the individual Bostini Cream Pies.

The last food blog is Confections of a Foodie Bride - again great pictures and wonderful recipes. I added her to my blogline list when I saw this recipe for Brisket & Brie Quesadillas with Mango Barbecue Sauce. I have not made it yet, it will have to be saved for when we are having guests over - it would make a great appetizer.

Lastly, I found an interesting series of articles at Focus on the Family about blogging. It is helpful to give perspective to the blog world.

There you go, I hope that when you get a chance you check some of these out. Have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for the info. I bookmarked a couple of your suggestions and plan to peruse them soon!

I am addicted to moneysavingmom. I go there more than once a day. I love how she alerts us to deals! I have been playing the CVS game since Oct. and have gotten so much stuff for free or almost free!

A blog book! I LOVE this idea!! I'll have to start saving now since I seem to be so wordy! Glad your man is coming home! It's always a gift when we are given the opportunity to realize how much we love our spouse!

Jenn...hey there, I'm Amy Tyner's friend here in Dallas as well (I think we were prego at the same time when you had your last son...we hung out in Frisco when Amy was visiting). Anyways...I just wanted to tell you that I am very excited about Blurb. I keep a blog for my daughter and I think this will be a great way to record her first year without having to do another scrap book. Thanks for sharing!!

I hope you are feeling less tired soon, it is hard when hubby is out of town.
