Favorite Time of Year

It is September, so that means Fall is almost here. This is my favorite season, with spring coming in at a close second. Fall means cooler weather, warm soups/stews, apple cider, football season, a visit to the pumpkin patch and the leaves begin to change to beautiful colors. It also is a sign that Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner. Some people dread the holiday season because it is so busy but it is my favorite time of year. I love decorating, all the parties, wrapping gifts, sending and receiving Christmas cards - I could go on and on. But one of things I enjoy most this time of year, is focusing as a family on all that we have to be thankful for in our lives. What an amazing peaceful time of year.

If you go to my recipe blog you will find a couple of my favorite quick bread recipes. They make great gifts for friends, neighbors and teachers.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your kind compliments! :^D

I love Fall too... only it is often much too short here. We are lucky if it lasts three weeks. Winter comes much too soon!

me too...love fall, that is. i talked about the peanuts recently, but wait till the cotton fields are ready to harvest! it looks like a dusting of snow on the ground and is beautiful! since we don't get any snow here, i call it alabama snow.
