Admitting it is the first step...

I have recently found a couple of blogs where the authors are real and share their short comings for the whole world to see. So I have been inspired to share something REAL about myself - I am definitely a member of the Reluctant Homemaker Club!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE a clean house, but I do not want to be the one who does the cleaning, and especially the folding of the laundry. But luckily I married a man who "gets" me and he is more than willing to help out where needed. But there are times that I feel I'm missing some female-homemaking gene.

Now before you see this picture, please be advised that it is usually not this bad. Normally, my Grandma's 50+ year old table is covered with the folded clothes (that need to be put away) and over the chairs I neatly lay the clothes that need to be hung up. So I do have a system!! (Mom you might not want to look!)

It is not the washing that I mind - I could wash clothes all day. It is the folding, hanging and putting away that I detest!! So I thought if I bare my soul in this area it might hold me accountable to get the laundry done completely today. If only I would stick to the rule:

**wash at least one load a day, fold and PUT THEM AWAY!!**

So I am off to accomplish this daunting task - I think I will pop in Anne of Green Gables and get to work. Thanks for letting me share my confession.

She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.

Apparently, we ware separated at birth. Putting laundry away is my kryptonite- and watching Anne of Green Gables is the perfect antedote. Somehow everything seems better when Gil's in the room ;)

I hope you got lots of work done while enjoying the movies. Will we see an after pic?!
