On Saturday we drove to Oklahoma for the afternoon to play and fish at Jeremy's parent's land. The baby and I had never been there, so it was fun to see where they are going to retire in a few years. It was really hot, but it was a nice afternoon! While we were driving back, jet lag set in and poor Jeremy was not feeling well at all.

After a good night of sleep we gave Jeremy his Father's Day gifts. The boys (as you can tell I helped) made a collage of all of their dad's favorite things. I got the idea at the
Make and Takes blog, if you have not been there you should check it out, she has LOTS of great ideas. I gave him
Deepening a Father's Heart - a 25 day devotional/journal written by Curtis Jones (one of Beth Moore's son-in-laws). You can get more information
here and
here. For breakfast I made the Pioneer Women Cooks
Sleepin’ in Omelette - I made a few adjustments to the recipe, you can see my changes
here.

After church, we had sushi and headed home for naps. While Jeremy and the three year old were still asleep the other boys had some special time together. I enjoyed watching them play together while I read. That afternoon the 8 year old changed his first diaper! Once Jeremy was awake he watched the US Open. I am hoping he can play at Torrey Pines or at least go look at it when we are in San Diego.
I hope all the fathers in my life had a wonderful day!

I love the diaper changing pictures, fun times!!
Did you feel the freedom when your son changed the baby's diaper? My 8-yr-old is pretty much in charge now that school's out. I even had a sitter that paid her a dollar to change a dirty diaper! haha
