What I did with my morning

It is a cloudy day in North Texas and our household is sick. Our 8 year old stayed home from school (he is running fever now), the baby has fever and a very sad cold in his eyes and the three year old is stuffed up but no fever yet. Poor Jeremy started feeling bad this morning, but he could not stay home because he had too much going on at work. I have not ran fever since Tuesday, but just can not regain my energy. I am tired of being stopped up and coughing all night. Enough of my whining, back to my cute boys. Even while sick they have good attitudes and smiles on their faces. Boy, do I need to learn a thing or two from them.

My morning consisted of:
~Emails. I do not work, but I always have so many emails to respond to each day.
~Cleaned out my inbox.
~Emails in my inbox containing recipes I posted on my Recipe Blog. Warning only one of them is low cal/low fat - a yummy salsa. This one, this one and this one are really good if you are not on the diet adventure with me - give them a try! :o)
~After posting I found this life wasting site called Blogthings. I learned some things from the quizzes I took like...
If a quiz asks you for your month and day of your birthday and it says it can tell you what you are like, don't trust it. The description of me could not be more wrong - see for yourself.

Your Birthdate: November 3

You are more than a big ball of energy - you are a big ball of hyper.
You are always on the go, but you don't have a type a personality.
Instead of channeling your energy into work, you instead go for fun and adventure.
Witty and verbal, you can have an interesting conversation with anyone.
Your strength: Your larger than life imagination
Your weakness: You tend to be pretty scattered
Your power color: Lime
Your power symbol: Lightening bolt
Your power month: March

Okay, it did get right that I have a big imagination, but I would not say it is my strength.

Apparently living in Texas my whole life does not qualify me as a true Texan.

You Are 52% Texas

At first, you seem Texan... but just because a chicken has wings don't mean it can fly.

How Texas Are You?

I found out if I ever to take the test to become a citizen of the USA, I would pass. Good to know.

You Passed the US Citizenship Test

Congratulations - you got 8 out of 10 correct!

Your 80s Hunk Is

Kirk Cameron

Who's Your 80s Hunk?
This is right on the money! Quick story - I loved Kirk!! My obsession was strongest in 7th and 8th grade. I never missed Growing Pains. My walls were completely covered in pictures of Kirk. I was such a dork. Anyway, my dad was called to a new church in the middle of my 7th grade year and we had to move. While packing my mom told me I had to take all my pictures off the wall. She started helping me and the first one she tried to take off would not budge. She asked me what I used to to put them on the wall. I used glue! My mom was so mad at me, but I do not remember her going ballistic on me (thanks mom). I do remember her making me peel off each picture (there were so many!!) and they would come off in tiny little pieces. The walls were left in such a mess because of the glue and the pictures would not come completely off. I am sure my parents did not get the deposit back on the rent house (sorry). I was also heartbroken that my pictures were ruined. Moral of the story - do not hang things with Elmer's glue!

Well now after posting this it is the middle of the afternoon. Now that I have confessed all the time I have wasted today, I need to take advantage of my kids napping and go clean out my closet. We have so much to do before the realtor comes on Monday - time to get busy. I hope your morning was more productive than mine - how could it not have been?

Sorry you all feel so bad, but great pic of the boys. They don't look sick. Must be nice. Hope you get your energy back soon. Just conquer one project at a time and eventually you will get to them all. The quizes were great. I loved the Kirk story. I did not know that about you. I worked from 9-5 today (in the office) I still have a ton to do before our retreat next weekend. Then I have to get ready for Teacher Appreciation week and find some time to make some Mother's day cards and restock the bakeries with cards. Oh, I am getting tired just typing it all. But tomorrow is Leah's field trip, so that will be fun. Hope Friday everyone is feeling better. Love ya!
